Arbeidsgrupper
Internasjonale arbeidsgrupper eller Working Groups (WG) er arbeidsformen for utredning av forslag og anbefalinger fra PIANC. Det finnes per 2007 fem ulike faglige kommisjoner som initierer arbeidsgrupper:
- InCom: Inland Navigation Commission
- MarCom: Maritime Navigation Commission
- EnviCom: Enviromental Commission
- RecCom: Recreational Navigation Commission
- CoCom: International Co-operation Commission
PIANC Norge har for tiden deltakelse i fire faglige kommisjoner:
- MarCom ved Tore Lundestad, Borg Havn
- EnviCom ved Audun Hauge, NGI
- CoCom ved Trygve Isaksen, Norconsult AS og
- RecCom ved Harald Andreassen, Kystverket Sør.
Kommisjonene drøfter aktuelle tema og utarbeider arbeidsmål / “Terms of references” for faggruppene. Deretter inviteres de ulike nasjonale seksjoner til å nominerer faglige eksperter til arbeidsgruppene. Hvert land kan ha en ekspert i hver arbeidsgruppe, og eventuelt en YP i tillegg. Arbeidsgruppene samler inn tilgjengelig informasjonsmateriale om temaet, analyserer og publiserer resultatene i en faglig rapport med omtale på engelsk og fransk. Denne distribueres til medlemmene i alle land og kan også kjøpes fra organisasjonens sekretariat.
Analysene skal i prinsippet være kortsiktige med fokus på aktuelle problemstillinger og utføres i løpet av to år, slik at PIANC kan svare på aktuelle problemstillinger. Arbeidet i gruppene gir deltakerne både faglig innsikt i internasjonal utvikling av arbeidstemaet samt muligheten til å bygge opp et nettverk mot eksperter i andre land. Working Groups:
The work carried out by the Associations on subjects of interest through its technical working groups, composed of experts of high standing from different countries, is of considerable importance. Participation in international working groups results worthwhile contact with experts concerned to study technical and managerial matters of current importance.
All commissions (and working groups) have members from each country with an interest in the work or study being carried out. They gather and analyze the material available and publish results in English and French in technical reports. Studies are in principle short term (24 months) and are conducted by Working Groups, so that PIANC can respond quickly to current problems. The Norwegian section of PIANC is participating in three commissions: MarCom and EnviCom. Active working groups: se PIANC international home pages.
